CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 18, 2009-- Chemed Corporation (NYSE:CHE) announced today that the Board of Directors has named George J. Walsh III, 63, to the additional post of non-executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Walsh has served as a director of Chemed since 1995.

Mr. Walsh is a partner with the law firm of Thompson Hine LLP. He is the Partner-In-Charge of the firm’s New York office, and he has been a partner since January 1979.
